How to get Married at Upper Beaver Meadows in RMNP

Upper Beaver Meadows is one of my very favorite Estes Park micro wedding ceremony locations! With the vast area of the meadows, there’s plenty of space to spread out and have a seemingly secluded wedding ceremony with up to 30 guests.

The views here are stunning. Behind the wide open meadows, you’ll notice a forest, and just beyond that are stunning mountain views! Including the iconic Longs Peak, one of our tallest mountain peaks in the region (and the state).

Emerald Lake Wedding Photos

In true Story Maker Photo fashion, this wedding day started with a lovely laid-back adventure. We began before sunrise, hiking up to Dream Lake and then Emerald Lake under a beautiful night sky. Once at the lake and changed into wedding attire, these two shared a first look on the lakeshore.

This hike is amazing for wedding photos in Rocky Mountain National Park because there’s such a large variety of scenery. It’s a pretty easy hike too, where you get so much “bang for your buck”. And at sunrise? Well you just can’t beat the alpenglow on a clear morning.

It’s always so special to come down from a hike and meet up with family + friends. They’re always full of questions like, “how was your morning?!” and we often hear things like, “I can’t believe you hiked in your wedding attire!”.

The buzz of excitement is always a wonderful and welcome greeting. And how cool is it that by mid-morning on your wedding day, you already have a great story to tell?
