The Sopris House is an absolutely wonderful setting for a small Crested Butte wedding.
Firstly, the property is located in the heart of charming downtown Crested Butte, Colorado. It has both beautifully designed indoor spaces as well as lovely outdoor spaces. It’s incredibly inviting, aesthetically pleasing, and has an interesting flow.
Take advantage of the pool table in the bar room or walk to the beautiful downtown to the wonderful coffee shops (like Camp 4 Coffee), restaurants, parks, and shopping.
The beautiful fenced in courtyard is the ultimate spot for an intimate dinner celebration with 25 of your closest people under the twinkling market lights.
Even if you choose to have your wedding ceremony else where in Crested Butte (there are lots of beautiful outdoor spaces for this), consider this location as a home-base for your wedding weekend or celebrations. That’s what this couple did! It’s certainly a beautiful spot to make memories with your people.
We could not have nailed the timing of the fall foliage any better.
You see, Crested Butte is known for its large aspen groves that span the mountain hillsides for miles… and miles. This makes this area particularly beautiful in Spring and Summer, and absolutely spectacular during Fall when the trees turn gold and orange.
Look how simply beautiful this intimate wedding ceremony turned out at a special spot in the National Forest.
After the intimate wedding ceremony, it was time for the couple to take off and explore a little on their own. I took them to some of my very favorite photo locations that would really show off more fall foliage.
Some of my favorite photography locations in Crested Butte include Kebler Pass, Lake Irwin, Emerald Lake, and Mt. Crested Butte.
