Juniper Mountain House might just be my new favorite wedding venue to photograph at! It’s a bit of a photographer’s dream with just how photogenic it is, and let me tell you, absolutely perfect for micro-weddings.
Walk down a quiet dirt trail, away from the mountain house, and into the opening of this lovely forest. Picture the dappled sunlight streaming through the trees, seating arranged for your guests, and a wedding deck you can customize with florals, arches, or whatever fits your vision.
This spot is absolutely lovely for a peaceful, wooded ceremony site.
Check out this couple enjoying an early June outdoor wedding ceremony here at 5:30pm.
After the ceremony, everyone walked back toward Juniper Mountain House to enjoy a cocktail hour on the patio!
If you’re envisioning some wide open mountain views on your wedding day, consider sneaking away to a nearby location for your couples photos! That’s exactly what we did for this wedding.
I helped to match the couple with a few stunning mountain-view spots just a short drive from Juniper Mountain House. Here we met up with their two dogs (who were being expertly cared for by the amazing dog concierges at Here Comes the Floof) and captured some epic portraits with dramatic peaks and mountain lakes.
It was such a fun and peaceful way to kick off the day, and the photos speak for themselves.
And of course, we had to take photos with the couple and their wedding getaway vehicle: a Buddy Scooter! With a “just married” sign on the back, family cheered them on while they zoomed off down the road on their way to their wedding reception dinner at their favorite restaurant, Hop Alley.
A special shoutout to the vendor team that pulled this day off without a hitch!
