Western Engagement Photos in Rocky Mountain National Park

When you’re vacationing in Estes Park during Skijor weekend, it’s totally fitting that you capture some western engagement photos while you’re at it!

And the best way to make it extra memorable? Well, make it a surprise proposal!

Sprague Lake Proposal Surprise

The dock at Sprague Lake, which is actually a designated wedding ceremony site, is also an incredibly scenic spot for a scenic engagement! The space surrounding the dock is quite open and off the main trail. This layout is super ideal for a surprise proposal because it gives me plenty of space to stay back and capture your moment without drawing too much attention.

Here’s a helpful article on how to hire a surprise proposal photographer.

Engagement Photos in Moraine Park

After the proposal, we moved onto our second location: Moraine Park. This spot is known for its stunning mountain views, wide-open meadows, and the peaceful stream that winds through the landscape year-round.

By the time we reached the meadows, the clouds were lifting. Soon, the views became absolutely ethereal which perfectly complimented the elevated western engagement photo vibe we were going for.
