These Rocky Mountain National Park engagement photos actually spanned over two days and took place in two different locations! The first day unfolded in the National Park. We hiked the snowy path to Dream Lake, and it was wonderful to see this couple experience this part of the National Park for the first time.
The hike to Dream Lake is just over 2 miles roundtrip and offers non-stop views the entire way. There are multiple lakes, overlooks, and excellent views of Longs Peak as well. Of course this is a popular hike among visitors, but it’s no wonder why! You get a little bit of every type of scenery along this trail! Plus, the trail itself isn’t too strenuous. It’s a seriously perfect photo session location, and a popular spot for marriage proposals too.
Imagine going somewhere brand new for your engagement photos. You get to make brand new memories with your partner, and have someone there to document exactly how fun those moments feel
This part of their session certainly felt adventurous, playful, and awe-inspiring. Here’s a peek at part one.
As every dog owner would agree, you gotta have some portraits with your pet! Because dogs aren’t allowed on the trails in Rocky Mountain National Park, we set up a second photo session! This time, we took portraits in a location that was already very special to them. Their home is located deep in the mountains of Nederland, Colorado and it certainly made for a meaningful photo location.
During this session we roamed their property. We spent time letting Bowie lead us down their dirt driveway, and walking throughout the forest to a hidden aspen grove.
Enjoy part two of the engagement session featuring Bowie.
