This two part engagement session took place in two different locations! The first day unfolded in Rocky Mountain National Park. We hiked the snowy path to Dream Lake, and it was wonderful to see them experience this part of the National Park for the first time.
The hike to Dream Lake is just over 2 miles roundtrip and offers non-stop views the entire way. There are multiple lakes, overlooks, and excellent views of Longs Peak. Of course this is a popular hike among visitors, and it’s no wonder why! You get a little bit of everything along this trail, and it’s not too strenuous! It’s seriously perfect for a photo session.
Imagine going somewhere brand new for your engagement portraits. You get to make brand new memories with your partner, and have someone there to document exactly how fun that feels. This is how core memories are made! And this part of their session felt adventurous, playful, and awe-inspiring.
Here’s a peek at part one.
As every dog owner would agree, you gotta have some portraits with your pet! Because dogs aren’t allowed on the trails in Rocky Mountain National Park, we set up a second session! This time, we took portraits in a location that was already very special to them. Their home in the mountains of Nederland, Colorado!
During this session we roamed their property. We spent time letting Bowie lead us down their dirt driveway, and walking throughout the forest to a beautiful aspen grove.
Enjoy part two of the engagement session featuring Bowie.
