Imagine your wedding day at a Colorado cabin, perched at 12,000 ft above sea level, surrounded by epic mountain views. The kind of place where you can feel like the only people in the world! And a location that requires a little adventuring to access.
That’s exactly what these two had in mind for their day. And believe me, it was an absolute honor to capture every moment.

At some point in your destination wedding planning process, you may find yourselves beginning to explore the idea of an “Airbnb wedding”. And it makes complete sense! Imagine choosing a spot to have a backyard style wedding in the Colorado mountains, somewhere with an aesthetic and vibe you love. What could be better for a small wedding or elopement?!
Keep in mind that Airbnb does not technically allow events! You may try reaching out to the property owners directly, or try searching VRBO for “event friendly” spaces. Colorado also has numerous private properties designed for hosting weddings and family reunions like Juniper Mountain House (a fav!)!

This couple fell in love with Bonnie Belle Cabin. This is an incredibly secluded cabin on a mountaintop with endless photography opportunities. A place that’s sure to create lasting memories, because even just accessing the cabin requires a little adventure! This cabin is accessible by 4×4 road only, traveling from the small town of Silverton, Colorado in the San Juan Mountains.

On this beautiful Colorado summer day, these two walked out the door of their mountain top cabin, and found a spot in the “backyard” for their wedding ceremony. They flipped a coin to see who would read vows first. I love that for some of their vows they stood, like you would traditionally, and for the other half of their vows, they sat down together on a blanket.

What would a Colorado cabin wedding be without a little adventure?
This couple is known for their love of exploring tough to get to locations and fly fishing! So of course they had to include both of those activities into their wedding experience.

While the sun was going down and their deep dish pizza was baking in the oven, we looked outside to see an epic rainbow sunset. Despite the hail coming down, these two ran out the door of the cabin to capture these epic moments.
I can picture these two 50 years from now retelling the story from their wedding day. “Remember that time we drove up a mountain, got married, and danced outside as the hail came down?”
These are the good old days, and this is what it’s all about.
